Kitty, a dancer with the Taylor-Girls, attracts the attention of the young attaché Graf Axel Holm and his cousin Baron Erik Lund. Axel's uncle, Graf Roderich Holm, comes to Berlin intending to prevent a match between Axel and the revue girl, but his awkward intervention has the opposite effect and helps bring Kitty and Axel together.
The production used the Ufa studios at Neubabelsberg and filmed exterior and revue material at Berlin's Admiralspalast. The revue sequences included original images of the Haller-Revue.
The film passed German censorship on April 5th 1928 and premiered on July 27th 1928 at the Ufa-Palast am Zoo in Berlin.
Max Ehrlich wrote the film's intertitles (Zwischentexte).
A surviving Bundesarchiv-Filmarchiv 35mm copy with English intertitles was documented by CineGraph and the Deutsches Historisches Museum in 2007. That print measured 1,674 meters, approximately 73 minutes at 20 frames per second.
